Hi Ahmad, thanks and acknowledged!

Well then, I’ll try to convince you and maybe some others too. Maybe I’ll succeed  :)

As I mentioned before, back when I answered a question.
Let’s be clear, the applicants aren’t magicians. They won’t fix everything overnight or make the network number one instantly. We shouldn’t have unrealistically high expectations, but we should still consider their suggestions and ideas and make use of their experience and knowledge for the benefit of the network.

At the same time, I always emphasize that you don’t need to be a Staff or GA member to share your ideas. Even a short email with a couple of sentences to the relevant department can make a real impact. What truly matters is having a clear goal and working steadily to advance our network to its rightful place.

Ahmad, again as mentioned before, I place great value on honesty and always speak the truth. So at the moment, I do not have any concrete ideas or suggestions to contribute. If I had any ideas, I would have shared them definitely long ago. However, I bring potential and valuable experience that I can apply effectively.  Without making too many promises, I am ready to actively contribute as soon as opportunities arise.

Kind regards
Güner Ercan

Hello again Guner,

Thanks you for the clarification.

I'll also clarify from my side:

Many applicants to the GA tend to rely on their past staff history when sending their application, sometimes presenting it as if prior roles alone should be enough for (re)joining the GA. This is not personal towards you, but a general case. And I do not vote for applications based on past titles or reputation alone.

While reading this thread i was happy to see fellow GA members who have worked with you before supporting your application. However, since I have not worked with you personally, I am interested in understanding what you would bring to the General Assembly "today" in terms of ideas, motivation, perspective, and concrete contribution, beyond your previous experience in the network. That is the context in which my questions were asked.

When I refer to what has “changed,” I mean whether there are maybe some perspectives, priorities, availability, or perhaps goals you have now that would shape how you will present to the assembly going forward, not to really suggest that you should present anything rather than your honest view.

I hope this clarifies the intent behind my questions.

Best regards,

Dear Ahmad,

I could tell here some fairy tales here to convince you or others to vote for me, but I am an honest person and always say what I think and what I believe is right or not. So, my answer ‘nothing has changed’ is the truth, and that’s always what I’ll say to such a question.

Btw, I couldn’t find anywhere in your questions where you asked about the reasons for my leave. I may have misunderstood it due to a language barrier, if so, of course I’m sorry for that.

Ahmad, I respect and accept every question and take them seriously, and therefore I also expect my answers to be taken seriously. In addition, when I say it’s not brain surgery, I mean it for myself after all, I know my own abilities well. Thank you!

Dear Guner,

Thanks for your reply.

When I ask my questions, I expect them to be addressed seriously. The intent is not to assess whether something is “brain surgery” because we all know it is not....  :)

Saying that “nothing has changed” does not explain the reasons behind your departure at that time, nor what would be different now to ensure continuity and reliability should you join again. This context, for me at least, is important to properly assess your application.

I believe now I have a clear picture of your position. Wishing you the best of luck with your application.

Kind regards,

Ahmad

Hello Ahmad,

Thanks for your questions.

-Nothing has changed, I simply decided to rejoin.

-I’ve been able to differentiate both tasks without any issues for several years, so I can do it again, it’s not brain surgery  :)

Dear Members,

I would like to formally submit my application for the IVAO Board of Governors.

I have been a member of IVAO for many years and have seen the network evolve over time. Throughout these years, I have remained committed to the community and its values. I now wish to contribute at a higher level and actively support IVAO in maintaining and developing its mission and vision.

In real life, I am a commercial pilot and flight instructor, which has allowed me to develop strong skills in responsibility, organisation, decision-making, and teamwork. I believe these qualities, combined with my long-term involvement within IVAO, would allow me to bring a practical and balanced perspective to the Board.

My motivation is simple: to help, to support structured and thoughtful development, and to contribute positively to the future of IVAO.

Thank you for considering my application.

Regards,

@nicolasflying

Hi Guiseppe, since I didn't get any answer from you for over a week, I assume you are not interesting anymore to join the BoG therefore cannot support your application this time. Wish you a good luck.

Dear Guner,

Thanks for your application to join the NPO.

In 2021, you stepped down from all staff positions, including your GA membership. What has changed since then that motivated you to rejoin the NPO?

Also, if you were to be appointed to a staff position again in the future, how would you differentiate between these two roles, considering they have different context scopes within the network?

Thank you.
